Not everyone enters Q Mortgage at the same stage. The Q Producer Path is designed to meet professionals where they are and move them toward the next stage of production and leadership.
How professionals enter the Q Producer Path
Career Discovery
The Q Producer Path entry map, described as an ordered flow.
- Start: Career Discovery.
- Then one of two alternative entry points, whichever describes you:
- Not Licensed candidates: first step is License.
- Retail MLO candidates: first step is Transition.
- Both paths then continue through: Learn, then Launch, then Build, then Scale, then Lead.

- 3 Learn Q Mortgage Academy Q Mortgage practical training: compliance, borrower consultation, loan structuring, sales, CRM, marketing, and wholesale transition training. (opens in a new tab)
- 4 Launch Q Mortgage Careers A sponsorship review, then systems access, mentor or transition-coach assignment where applicable, and a launch plan.
- 5 Build Q Mortgage Careers A production plan, pipeline development, structured follow-up, and accountability.

For unlicensed candidates: NMLS-approved pre-licensing education from an approved provider, the SAFE exam, and the state license application. For retail originators: a licensing and sponsorship transition review.

Q Mortgage Academy
Academy owns Explore, License / Transition, and Learn for candidates who aren’t yet licensed and for real estate professionals considering origination — orientation, pre-licensing education, the SAFE exam and state license application, and practical training.
Q Mortgage Careers
Careers owns the Retail → Broker transition for already-licensed originators, plus Launch, Build, Scale, and Lead once a producer is active on Q’s platform.
Mortgage compensation is earned for actual mortgage-origination services performed under applicable licensing, sponsorship, compensation, disclosure, and compliance requirements.
Compensation structures are discussed during candidate review and documented in the applicable compensation agreement.
